Eternal love - le Grand Bleu

And my eternal love for the sea....I have not seen a better example of this anywhere else: Luc bessons
Le Grand Bleu. Merci Luc!

Leonard forever

Thank god that Leonard has this talent for describing melancholic beauty...in a world where an eternal smile is almost a sign of status.
I started early with leonard. My father introduced me to the album "Various Positions"..Together in the Danish winter evenings we listened and talked about the words..... And Leonard has stuck with me since..

Drawing, Yellow

It´s a sunny day in Denmark today. And let me therefore show you a "summer-thing"
Meet "Yellow". One of my recent drawings.---What do painters do, when they do not paint...
they make drawings (and more).

Drawing, I bakkerne/ In the hills

One of my drawings...

I bakkerne/ In the hills, 2012.

There are times when I use drawings as a means to make the right painting..This one went before a big painting..
Sometimes my drawings stand well alone.
I like the "roughness" of the drawing compared to my paintings.
It is difficult to explain  - but it is about the texture of the paper (this is made for watercolours)..- about the small imperfections. (It is like with people..Imperfect people are more fun:-)

Stairs...

Ok now..these are a set of stairs close to my home..Since I as very young studiet  the art of
M.C. Escher...and later on climbed numerous stairs of historical buildings..I am intrigued
by them,,This concept of climbing and often being presented to different angles on the same view.
It is almost philosophical...correction it is philosophical;-)

By the way ...go study Escher: http://www.mcescher.com/
