Invaded by colour

Invaded by colour...and slightly paint spotted at times...

The yellow, orange and red invasion is here
I am sorry for the slow posting. I am getting my hands dirty.
A project of a 80 x 120 cm oilpainting is spreading light in my studio. Only an early impression
of wet, wet paint on Belgian linen.

Work in progress - oil studies - "Endless Summer" or a kick in the behind.

Oil studies

This is an oil study for a bigger painting...endless summer..endless yellow...endless red? And one solid kick in the behind for those, who did their best to make my winter a nightmare...
Sorry all of you, the artist is still here...And here to stay. My love and care still there for those worth caring for.

In the midst of winter... homage to all those amongst us, who pick up the fight and go on.

In the midst of winter..

I am going to give you this one a little earlier than expected. Click on the image to see it better.
The paint is not all dry by the way:-)

Courage to all those in similar life situations.

Hardship in the midst of winter - new painting on the way

A new painting is on the way. On of the quickest and most honest paintings, I ever did make.
It is a tribute to the force we find within in times of hardship, and at no time else.
Around the turn of the year I had to make hard decisions.I was forced into them, as we sometimes are.
And sincerely said: I am tired beyond measures, but still working.
Looking forward to show you this one but since oil paintings dry slowly..only the central figure is all done..

And of course my sympathy to others who crawled more than jumped into the new year.

Candy...or oilcolours

Oilcolours

Almost like candy here on this photo..and so very smooth and deep, when I use them in my work.
There are many kinds on the market. These ones have been my choice until now.
The most important difference between working with acrylics and oils is tiiiiiimeeeee..or time:-)
This limitation can be so very good...no rushing here. Old fashioned time consuming and at times messy work. I love it. It is very different from modern life in general.

"Studio"

"Rain"

This is one of my recent paintings...I find architecture interesting....You probably already noticed:-)
Buildings are sculptures in my world..large and out in every kinds of weather. I enjoy when the sun comes out after a heavy shower of rain..everything wet and glistening...Air crisp and clean. In Denmark buildings can be in bright colours but also so red because of the red bricks we often use here...
And this is one of my oilpaintings ...It was a mess to make this one..but well worth it.......
