"Tools"

About tools..well it can be impressing how one gets to rely on certain tools in the studio..
The triangle I had for 20 years...Linex rules:-) The pencils..I often use thick learners pencils..they
don´t make my hands ache.. I did a lot of framing for the show at "Filosoffen"..therefore the tape and
the spatula..:-)

This is one of my recent paintings...I find architecture interesting....You probably already noticed:-)

Buildings are sculptures in my world..large and out in every kinds of weather. I enjoy when the sun comes out after a heavy shower of rain..everything wet and glistening...Air crisp and clean. In Denmark buildings can be in bright colours but also so red because of the red bricks we often use here... 

And this is one of my oilpaintings ...It was a mess to make this one..but well worth it.......

"Injury" and "Thoughts on happiness"

These two paintings...

"Injury" is serious....and "Thoughts on happiness" is as well..

I always believed that beauty is everywhere..also in the periods of our lifes that is not very pleasant. If I cannot find it...I will make it. I don´t believe in wearing a happy smile at all times, but in enjoying the smiles that come my way...from myself and other people.

Survival is not  for the fittest..it is for the ones that try to make the best of the situation...against all odds.. feel bad but get up again when you can.

I remember making "Thoughts on happiness" after reading about the amount of "happy-drugs" that are consumed in Denmark alone.It is crazy indeed when these drugs are given to people that are not really ill but just sad. Let us treat each other well so that we don´t need  too much of that "junk"
 The little figure in the painting has a resemblance with the devil...He can give life a kick but is still a devil.

Injury was made as a reaction to a severe back injury....It wasn´t happy times, but the painting is
a good result of bad times...Do I need to say that I feel fine about this one as well...:-)

A colourful couple

Here they are the colourful couple of "Serenity" and "Upcoming"..the two architectural abstractions.
No they are not prints...they are real drawings on special paper with frames decorated by me...
They are  part of the exhition at Filoffen until sunday afternoon the 16th of June 2013

Watchdog...me and my sketchbook passing time on a hot day..

Made today at our show at Filosoffen in Odense...It was very hot, and I was getting sleepy in the breaks between visitors..so what to do with the sleepy artist...besides drinking Earl Grey...I took out my sketchbook..this one is the result...
